The flash evaporation volume in our plant fluctuates greatly; sometimes it changes suddenly from 2,000 cubic meters to 3,000 cubic meters. Apart from the flash pressure, flash temperature, liquid level, and circulation rate, what other factors can affect the flash evaporation volume? The operation of the flash vapor absorption tower is also normal; the pressure difference across the tower is within normal limits, and there are no signs of foaming in the solution.
The flash tank process is generally mainly used in the shift gas desulfurization system. Its flow rate, under unchanged other conditions, is highly dependent on the system pressure. Also, if pressure swing adsorption is used for decarbonization, significant fluctuations in flow rate will occur.
