Mercury emission reduction has become a bottleneck for the PVC industry. I wonder if there are any companies currently making significant investments and conducting research in this area?

Our new project takes into account the mercury emission standards; we have hired an environmental protection company to handle mercury-containing wastewater, and they have promised to reduce the mercury level to 5 ppb. We’ll have to wait and see… As for those low-mercury catalysts, according to the design institutes, they cannot be widely adopted at the moment because the technology is not yet fully developed.
