The inlet temperature at the third stage of our compressor remains high. The system’s set pressure is 0.8 MPa; under normal operation, the inlet temperature at each stage is 40°C. Recently, it has reached 48°C or even higher as soon as the compressor starts up. There was one instance of automatic shutdown due to this issue, and the cooler was removed twice, but with no significant improvement. I wonder if anyone has any good suggestions
What you might be referring to is a piston compressor; with high inlet temperatures at the third stage, it is necessary to check whether the suction valve plates are damaged, or whether the valve body needs to be ground. For reference
Is the cooling water temperature of the two-stage outlet (three-stage inlet) cooler normal? Is the temperature at the second-stage outlet normal? Are imported thermometers overreporting the temperature?
Then the following checks should be carried out: 1. Check whether the temperature, pressure, and flow rate of the cooling water in the secondary cooler meet the requirements; if not, make the necessary adjustments. 2. Check whether the cooling area of the secondary cooler is insufficient, and replace it if necessary. Also, may I ask: what medium do you use for playing?
