I feel that the scheduling role is very important, so there is quite a lot of pressure. How can one do a good job in scheduling? Please give me some advice, seniors. What aspects of knowledge should I learn first? Higher requirements for those aspects?
To be a good scheduler, you need to have obtained the fire permit from the Safety and Environment department by the time I decide to get a permit to go to room 801 for a cigarette ^_^ haha, just joking. Hi there, buddy; I’m here too ^_^

For scheduling, one needs to work on the production floor for a few years first to get good at it, and also have to work in more than one workshop. Without an understanding of the plant’s overall production process, it’s difficult to do a good job.
Understand the entire plant’s process flow and keep the technical parameters in mind; analyze problems thoroughly, and remember the details of each processing stage, as this will be very useful in such situations. Also, stay calm in emergency situations, giving priority to the safety of the equipment first, and process control secondly. General scheduling is well understood by each work section.

First, you need to have a general understanding of the processes in each step; it’s best to have a thorough knowledge of them ; Effective communication among the personnel in charge of each process is required ; You need to allocate materials and energy throughout the entire production line in a rational manner! In the polysilicon industry, since the manufacturing process is relatively simple, to be honest, the scheduling tasks are usually handled by the department managers. It’s nowhere near as complex as the scheduling work in fertilizer plants or oil refineries. Of course, you can use your role in scheduling to learn about the entire manufacturing process of the plant, which will definitely be useful in the future.
The scheduler should be very familiar with the production process and have a good understanding of the hierarchical relationships
General requirements: Achieve “four balances and one stability”: Four balances: balance of water, electricity, and gas (utility services); Balance between production, supply, and demand ; Material balance ; Balance between equipment operation and maintenance: Stability – stable process operating conditions ; To meet the above requirements: it is essential to be familiar with the site and the processes in various workshops, as well as emergency plans and everything else; only then can command operations with ease!
Since I am not aware of your authority regarding polysilicon production scheduling, it is a very risky decision to work in a scheduling-related role right after graduating. Firstly, there is a lack of familiarity with the production process, or it remains at a theoretical level only, preventing a proper understanding of the overall situation. Secondly, in the event of an accident, a lack of production experience or experience in handling such accidents will certainly result in ineffective emergency response.
