I have been researching recently whether a change in the vertical distance from the tower top solution tank to the granulation nozzle in KT NitroAN can cause changes in the shape of the particles formed. I wonder what requirements various manufacturers have regarding this vertical distance?
The effective height is the distance from the air inlet to the nozzle; theoretically, the higher, the better. It should generally be no less than 80 meters, with Norway in Scandinavia having fertilizer towers that reach 300 meters in height.
The friend on the second floor must have misunderstood; what the original poster was asking about was the vertical distance between the solution tank at the top of the granulation tower and the granulation nozzles. In urea granulation, a filter is generally installed at the top of the tower, with no solution tank. The vertical distance between this filter and the granulation nozzle is approximately 1.5 to 2 meters.
