I have just graduated with a master’s degree and want to become a registered chemical engineer – what is the process? Is the exam difficult as well?
Graduates can first take the basic exam; those in the chemical engineering field can apply for the specialized exam if they have 3 years of experience in design work. It doesn’t seem too difficult to get registered as a chemical engineer. The basic exam covers a wide range of topics – there are around 17 subjects in total. I’ve only started preparing for the basic exam this year
It is said that by using an undergraduate diploma to apply, one can take the professional exam a year earlier

If you want to hang in there, you won’t have much money left, haha. Environmental protection and environmental impact assessment are actually better than registering for chemical-related activities
If you have just graduated from graduate school and your major is chemical engineering, the examination process is as follows: 1. Registration for this year is likely already closed; in Shandong province, registration has basically finished everywhere, with only a few prefecture-level cities still requiring on-site confirmation. 2. You can use your bachelor’s degree certificate to register for the basic examination, provided that your major is chemical engineering. Three years of graduate study will be counted as work experience, and a design firm needs to stamp the application form. 3. After passing the basic examination, if your undergraduate program’s major has been rated positively, you can use your bachelor’s degree certificate to proceed to the specialized examination
