Plate gate valves come in both those with guide holes and those without them. . . What is the function of the flow guide holes? . Where is it? Can perforated and non-perforated ones be used interchangeably?
It cannot be substituted. The guide holes are provided to facilitate pipeline cleaning
As far as I know, there are two situations: 1. Facilitates pressure reduction by opening the valve. 2. Auxiliary seal.
One of the functions of the pig is to be inserted into the pipeline through the guide hole in order to clean it.
It cannot be substituted; the flow guide holes facilitate pipe cleaning. There are also gate plates with guide holes; the gate plate grooves do not become exposed, preventing impurities from entering and thus serving to protect the sealing surface.
How does a flat plate gate valve with guide holes automatically relieve the high pressure in the chamber after the valve is closed? Thank you
They are not interchangeable; as mentioned above, the guide holes are there to facilitate pipeline cleaning.
