Our unit’s dry gas desulfurization tower is equipped with a differential pressure gauge at both the top and bottom of the tower. But how exactly can we use this differential pressure gauge to analyze the desulfurization efficiency inside the tower? What does too high indicate, and what does too low indicate? Currently, the top pressure of the dry gas desulfurization tower is 0.73 MPa, and the differential pressure is 19.03 KPa. Please give me some advice!

The differential pressure in the desulfurization tower = dry plate pressure drop + resistance drop due to gas passing through the liquid layer, and it is determined by the tray design and the liquid phase load. Low, it may be due to a low gas or liquid phase load; high, it may be due to blockages in the tray.
Reason for increased pressure difference: tray blockage; Amine solution foaming
Any analysis that does not take the processing capacity and the number of trays into account is useless. Under normal operating load, the internal component manufacturer will provide a reference pressure difference. If the pressure difference exceeds this value by too much, severe flooding and foaming will occur ; If the pressure difference is too low compared to this reference value, it indicates that the efficiency of the tray has not been fully utilized, resulting in liquid leakage.
