Inside an industrial building, there are two adjacent production areas with different fire hazard classifications: one is of Class A (or Class B) and the other is of Class C. Is it necessary for the partition wall between these two areas to be an explosion-proof wall? There are no explicit provisions on this in the building codes; please share your opinions based on your practical experience!

Class A substances include *furnace gas, and Class C substances include *coal powder used in boilers. Since this is a pilot plant with relatively small equipment, it is not possible to maintain fire separation distances as in large-scale production. However, if everything is treated as Class A, then all electrical equipment in the coal powder handling area must be explosion-proof motors.
