There is a polymerization reaction that meets the characteristics of a hazardous process, but the molecular weight of the polymer is very low (1000–2000). Is this reaction considered a hazardous process? I would appreciate it if experienced colleagues could provide an answer. Thank you!

What do you combine together? Some reactions require mild conditions, while others demand harsh conditions.
I would like to ask the experts here: I’ve come across a production process in which coatings are made from acrylic resin and styrene monomers; it seems to involve a polycondensation reaction. Is this considered a high-risk process (a hazardous chemical process)? Could you all give me some advice?
You can refer to the relevant provisions of Order No. 591 and Order No. 40; it should be helpful to you. This situation of yours does not seem to fall under the category of major hazard sources
