During the start-up of the methanol wash unit, the crude gas/lean gas heat exchanger is not in use; how can the gas be cooled to the required temperature?
Our feed gas cooler is a shell-and-tube heat exchanger used for heat exchange between the reformate gas and the purified gas, CO2 gas, as well as the exhaust gas. Methanol cooling begins immediately after a circulation system is established prior to startup; at this point, two streams of material are used to pre-cool the feed gas cooler. Gas nitrogen is introduced 30 minutes before startup, and a third stream of material is used for pre-cooling the feed gas cooler. In this way, as the system continues to cool down after gas is introduced, the raw gas is cooled to the required temperature.
