If the diameter of the heat exchanger is not large, such as less than 1000 MM, then select the insulation material and thickness based on those of pipes with an equivalent diameter and at the same temperature. For example, if your diameter is 600 and the temperature is 150 degrees, then you should look up the insulation methods for pipes with a diameter of 600 and a temperature of 150 degrees. No software is available.
The minimum insulation thickness can be determined based on the ambient temperature of the equipment installation site (whether it operates year-round or seasonally, and whether it is indoors or outdoors), the maximum heat loss, the temperature of the medium, etc; There is also the economic thickness (the thickness that minimizes the sum of the investment cost for the insulation material and the heat losses during operation); generally, empirical data can be found in thermal engineering handbooks.
