For slurry pumps, the choice of pump type depends on the properties of the slurry; gear pumps, screw pumps, centrifugal pumps and other designs can be used. The appropriate pump type is determined based on the characteristics of the medium being handled. Compared to packing seals, mechanical seals and other types of shaft seals, these pumps have a simpler structure and are easier to maintain, but leakage is inevitable. If the slurry is quite viscous or if some leakage is acceptable in the given environment, then packing seals are recommended. As for gear pumps, our company’s products offer the most stable quality and also the highest prices. Our screw pumps and centrifugal pumps fall into the higher-end category. The catalytic slurry pumps in our factory are of the TPY type manufactured by Zhejiang Keler Pump Industry; these pumps utilize a clamped diaphragm mechanical seal and are flushed with diesel. It is in good condition. At first, our factory did not use external flushing oil to clean the seals, and as a result several of them leaked frequently. At the same time, since the slurry contains solid particles, it is advisable to use catalyst materials that are relatively wear-resistant and resistant to erosion.
