It depends on the type of equipment; for stationary pressure vessels, it is necessary to conduct calculations regarding strength and stress, and there must be corresponding calculation reports. Additionally, attention should be paid to the location and dimensions of the ports, and all design parameters need to be verified one by one, as well as the dimensions; For moving equipment, there is basically no need for inspection, nor is it possible to conduct one; the focus is rather on whether all the documents provided by the manufacturer are complete. Information regarding utility requirements and consumption parameters must be provided, as well as details on interface conditions and installation requirements, etc
Check whether the design meets the actual requirements, and whether installation, use, and maintenance are convenient.
Personal opinion: (Pressure vessels) 1. Based on the operating conditions and the medium involved, it is necessary to check whether the appropriate material has been chosen for the equipment; 2. It is also important to verify that the strength calculations for the equipment are complete and accurate; 3. Check whether the representation methods on the drawings meet the standard requirements ; 4. Verify the number of pipe ends and their relative positions according to the process requirements ; 5. Consider the manufacturing process to see if any openings are located near the main welds; if this is the case, it is necessary to discuss with the process team ways to change the location of those openings or to adjust the arrangement of the welds.
