For a pump that was running for the first time, it was found after ten minutes that the bearing temperature had reached 85 degrees – could this be due to misalignment of the laminated coupling? How to correct it.
Misalignment of the laminated coupling can have some impact; unless there is a significant force applied, the motor itself could also be the cause
Reasons for high bearing temperature in water pumps: 1. Low oil level, which reduces the amount of oil that reaches the bearings. II. The oil quality is substandard; impurities enter along with the water, or the oil becomes emulsified and deteriorated. III. The oil ring does not rotate, resulting in a disruption in oil supply to the bearings. IV. Insufficient cooling water flow for the bearings. V. Bearing damage. VI. For rolling bearings, in addition to the reasons mentioned above, excessive tightening force applied by the bearing cover on the bearing eliminates its radial clearance and reduces its flexibility. VII. Or for other reasons; each case must be analyzed on its own merits.
This is a Tai Sun pump; the bearings are from NSK, so there should be no issues with the oil and bearings.
1 If there’s no problem with the oil, check whether the cooling water is flowing properly. 2 Change the lubricating oil and check if the temperature has dropped. 3 Check whether the pump body is vibrating; if it is, realign it. 4 Continue to monitor whether the pump’s temperature rises (generally, some new pumps experience an increase in temperature when they start operating, but the temperature drops after they have been running for a while).
It is possible that the oil slinger has failed, failing to lubricate the spindle properly, which leads to increased friction and rising temperatures. The newly tested pump requires some time to adjust, and it might gradually improve over time
Generally, the temperature of new pumps rises when they start operating, but it drops after they have been running for a while). Generally, after the first run, how long does it take for a temperature drop to be observed?
Regarding the first point mentioned by the experienced mechanic, I have encountered it, but it happened on the fan bearing housing
This motor has a power of 75 KW. The water pump is of the IS125-100-250 type, with a flow rate of 200 T/H and a head of 80 meters; it does not require cooling water.
Hehe, I know I’m not mentioning Haichuan just to learn and improve together, so please give me some advice. Thank you
