Why are large pipes welded? Are small pipes made seamless? Can I use welding for my small pipes? What’s the difference? What about the cost?
The price of seamless steel pipes is higher than that of welded steel pipes. Large pipes are not suitable to be made seamless, so they are generally welded. The choice of pipeline material depends on the medium being transported, as well as temperature and pressure
Very large and very small seamless parts are much more expensive than welded ones
