A waste heat boiler generates steam using the high temperature of a medium, with the flow of steam being controlled by a control valve at the steam pipe outlet. For waste heat boilers, should a pressure control valve or a temperature control valve be installed at the outlet?
It should be a pressure control valve, as steam is generally used within the system itself; fluctuations in pressure have a greater impact on the system than fluctuations in temperature. Therefore, pressure control is necessary. In fact, after being heated by the superheater, the temperature should already be quite high. Personal opinion, for reference only.
For waste heat boilers, a pressure control valve should be installed at the outlet. In systems where the temperature of the fluid is high, there are also superheaters, as well as temperature reduction systems! The systems vary depending on the specific circumstances!
