The temperature measurement range for oxygen turbine compressors is generally within 200 degrees Celsius, and thermistors are sufficient for this purpose. However, thermocouples are used to measure the exhaust temperature and the volute temperature; these two parameters are involved in the interlock for emergency nitrogen injection shutdown. What is the reasoning behind this choice?
For the purpose of reducing equipment costs, without affecting usability. However, it seems that thermal resistors have better service life and stability than thermocouples. For reference.
