About short-sleeved work clothes

My company is a medical and chemical company that produces pharmaceutical raw materials. Recently, the company decided to issue short-sleeved work clothes to employees. I think this is not appropriate because wearing short-sleeved work clothes cannot protect the arms from being harmed by high temperatures or corrosive items. Moreover, chemical manufacturing companies have a lot of organic gases and chemical dusts that are unorganized emissions, which can be easily absorbed by the skin after sweating, causing allergies or poisoning. I wonder what everyone thinks? * * Are there any relevant regulations in this regard?
