For a recent project, many pipeline industry clients requested the use of fiberglass-reinforced plastic pipes. So I reviewed the relevant specifications and identified several issues; I would appreciate everyone’s advice on them. 1. According to the standards, the minimum nominal diameter for fiberglass-reinforced plastic pipes is also 50; so how should small pipes such as those used for pump return lines, with diameters similar to DN25, be handled? Can small-diameter pipes be manufactured in actual production now? If available, could you please provide a sample 2? According to the standards, the wall thickness of pipes and that of fittings with the same nominal diameter are different – will this have an impact on actual production? 3. 1. It is possible to do this with pipes of small diameter as well; as long as the mold permits it. The smallest pipes we currently manufacture are DN15mm, and the labor required is relatively high; 2. The wall thickness of the fittings differs from that of the pipes, but the inner diameter remains the same, which does not affect the user’s use ; 3. The main things to pay attention to are the selection of materials (resin, reinforcing materials for the lining layer, etc.); it is sufficient to design according to specifications based on different pressures and temperatures. This is a technology that is already well-developed in China.
