The design institute has designed the stainless steel pipes to be buried directly in the ground. May I ask, is it necessary to apply anti-corrosion treatment to these pipes, and if so, what kind of anti-corrosion material should be used? ? ? ?
The same anti-corrosion methods as those used for carbon steel pipes can be applied. Generally, stainless steel pipes do not provide corrosion resistance, as alternatives such as fiberglass pipes, plastic-lined pipes, and CPVC pipes can be used. After welding stainless steel pipes, they are generally subjected to pickling with acid wash paste, passivation, and then rinsed thoroughly.
