What are the reasons for high oil temperature in centrifugal pumps? During the testing process, high oil temperature caused the oil sight glass to crack, resulting in oil leakage. (Not a quality issue with the non-oil sight glass)
In our unit, there have been instances of high oil temperature in the high-speed centrifugal pumps, caused by a blocked oil cooler
1. Bearing issues. 2. The alignment was not done properly. 3. It could also be that too much oil was added, causing the oil to compress as the temperature rises, which prevents heat from being dissipated and leads to pressure buildup.
The oil temperature of our pump fluid often rises; after adjusting the coaxiality of the coupling, the temperature dropped significantly
