I would like to know the number of hours allocated to theoretical lectures, practical sessions, and design work (in terms of weeks or class hours) for the course \"Principles of Chemical Engineering\" in various schools. Our school uses Chen Minheng’s textbooks, divided into two semesters; there are 64 hours of theoretical instruction and 32 hours of laboratory work per semester, with course design taking four weeks
Yan’an University – 144 hours of theoretical instruction (72 hours per volume) – 64 hours of experimental instruction; the design component is now omitted and integrated into the 4-month graduation project in the final semester.
Different majors use different textbooks even at the same school. The Chemical Engineering department in our school uses those published by Tianjin University, while our Chemistry department uses a very thin textbook compiled by our own school, with very few class hours allocated to it.
Taiyuan University of Technology uses the fourth edition published by Tianjin University; theory is covered in the first semester, while experiments and design work are done in the second semester
Northwestern University, Chen Minheng: 72 hours per semester, 144 hours in total
