In my company’s salt dissolving tank, the saltwater used for dissolving salt used to enter from the bottom, but later it was observed that, due to pressure issues, backflow occurred every time the tank was stopped. So now they have changed to allowing the water to enter from the top and directing the pipes to the bottom. What are the disadvantages of this approach? ? ? ? Changing it won’t help; the valve will still not close properly.
Just turn off the valve when parking the vehicle; it’s a waste of material, and it’s not cost-effective if the pipes corrode!

This can lead to salt clogging the pipes once the vehicle is parked; when starting the vehicle again, obstruction will be detected. It is important to be careful during operation: stop adding salt when parking, and wait ten minutes before stopping the circulation of the saltwater solution. At the outlet at the bottom, it’s best to install a mushroom-shaped outlet, as this makes clogging less likely
By taking such care during the modification to add an elbow at the pipe outlet to allow the brine to flow downward, it is possible to prevent the raw salt from blocking the pipes when the system is shut down.
For safety, add a manual stop valve to the pipeline!
Corrosion of pipes near the interface between saltwater and air can be very severe.

It is recommended to stop the machine and close the valves; with your modification, salt will still flow back into the salt dissolving pipe even after the machine is stopped. When the machine is shut down for a long time, the salt in the pipes will settle more and more tightly, and as a result, the nozzle in the water inlet pipe may not be able to spray properly when the machine is started again
