As the title suggests: How to use a dew point meter when the gas flow rate is insufficient? I used a vacuum pump to draw air from the exhaust port in order to increase the flow rate, but the readings obtained were inaccurate. Pulling air out with the pump and then feeding it into the dew point meter also gave inaccurate results. I really can’t think of any other solution; since there’s no pressure enhancement device, I was wondering if there are any other simpler methods. Thank you!
For measurements using a dew point meter, it is necessary that the pressure and gas flow rate remain stable; data obtained by using a pump to draw air are inaccurate. It is recommended that you install a buffer device behind the pump and give it a try.

If the gas pressure and flow rate are not sufficient to push the cylinder open, pull the cylinder out by hand; measurement can be carried out as long as there is gas flow.
I wonder what exactly you consider to be a very small amount of gas flow? I agree with what was said above. I measured the dew point while the pressure was still in use; I haven’t measured it at low flow rates.
Reply to 1# zhangw.007: The pump delivers pulsed flow, so it’s naturally impossible to obtain accurate measurements. There are two methods: one is to lengthen the instrument’s vent pipe; Second, install a needle valve or pressure stabilizing valve after the pump; this way, measurements can be taken even when the flow rate is low. The true measure of one’s on-site analysis ability lies in their adaptability.
