Under what conditions is fatigue analysis required for pressure vessels? Please, dear experts, help me out. I’m a beginner and just starting to learn pressure vessel design
It is recommended to consult Appendix C and section 3.10 of JB4732 for the detailed regulations.
Typically, fatigue analysis is required for cyclic loads such as temperature and pressure. For specific details, refer to the section on exemptions from fatigue analysis in JB4732.
1. Alternating load conditions. 2. The structure is special and does not meet the requirements of conventional design based on a standard of 150; for example, the pressure is greater than 35 Mpa, the wall thickness and diameter are relatively large, radial stresses cannot be ignored, and it does not belong to the category of thin-walled containers.
