What does the G code related to threads mean in CAD? Like G1, G3/4 and so on. :dizzy:
Common pipe threads mainly include the following types: NPT, PT, G, etc. 1) NPT is the abbreviation for National (American) Pipe Thread; it refers to the 60-degree tapered pipe thread standard used in North America. For the national standard, refer to GB/T12716-1991. 2) PT (BSPT) is an abbreviation for Pipe Thread; it refers to a sealing tapered pipe thread with a 55-degree angle, and it belongs to the Whitworth thread family. It is widely used in Europe and the Commonwealth countries**, especially in the water and gas piping industries. The taper ratio is 1:16; for national standards, refer to GB/T7306-2000. It is called ZG in China. 3) G is a 55-degree unthreaded sealing pipe thread, belonging to the Whitworth thread family. Marked as G represents cylindrical threads. Refer to GB/T7307-2001 for national standards. 3/4 should be the diameter of the thread size
