For starting the pump, there are two methods: soft start via the PLC and hard start via the control panel. Can the wiring for these two starting methods be connected in parallel at the PLC’s terminal block? I’m a beginner, haha. Also, roughly how many devices can a PLC control cabinet of size 2100x800x800 control? Is there an approximate figure? Of course, it is related to signals; some require safety barriers, while others need relays, etc. . . I’m just asking for a rough estimate here
It should be configured as a tandem setup, not just a simple parallel connection. The number of I/O points in a PLC depends on the number of control points you have, as well as the size of the PLC and the number of expansion modules used
