Our unit needs to install a new boiler, and a manufacturing company has come for technical discussions. The qualification certificates they provided state that they are qualified to manufacture membrane walls, straight tubes, and coiled tubes for Class A boilers only. The technical solution provided by the manufacturer uses finned tubes for the economizer. Is this beyond the factory’s capabilities? **Are there any relevant regulations and standards for this?
Finned tubes can be manufactured externally without any problem.
By the way, what is the tonnage?
Can it be manufactured by this manufacturer without outsourcing?
Whether it is outsourced or not, having the relevant quality certification documents is sufficient.
It does not exceed the scope of qualifications; even if those tasks cannot be carried out, they can be outsourced.
His qualification actually only allows him to work on Class A boiler components; he is not qualified to manufacture boiler drums. The finned-tube economizer should be fine.
