1. Refrigeration units: In cryogenic separation, propylene refrigeration compressors, ethylene refrigeration compressors, and methane refrigeration compressors are used; binary and ternary refrigeration compressors are also employed. There is also throttling expansion refrigeration. 2 Vacuum pumping units: a vacuum pumping system for the triple-machine rehydration process, and a vacuum pumping system for the nine-column decarburization unit in the pyrolytic gasoline hydrogenation plant.

Regardless of the process, whenever light hydrocarbon separation is involved, cryogenic units are generally used.

As a supplementary note: the isothermal carbon dioxide hydrogenation reactor here also makes use of vacuum pumping and a methanol temperature control system.
