What is the principle of electronic belt scales? It would be best to explain it in the simplest terms possible. Also, if the belt is not currently in operation but there is still a reading on the counter, I’d like to know whether tonnage can still be measured if there is a problem with the speed sensor of the belt scale. What is the relationship between tonnage, speed, and weight? Thank you!
It relies mainly on two sensors: a load sensor and a speed sensor; the data is then sent to the CPU to achieve control purposes. Usually, we pay attention to two types of data: load and speed, while the operators focus on flow rate. If the speed sensor fails, load can still be measured, but there will be no indication of flow rate. The amount in tons you mentioned should refer to flow rate, which is calculated as a ratio of load to speed.
