Connection type between the tower and the reboiler

Hello everyone! I would like to ask: how many different connection methods exist for towers and reboilers, and what are the criteria used for making a choice during design? For example: the tower is directly connected to a horizontal reboiler, with the reboiler serving as the bottom of the tower. In what situations is this design chosen?
This format is generally used in applications where high gasification rates or high operational flexibility are required. The gasification rate of a kettle-type reboiler can exceed 80%, but it is not suitable for applications prone to scaling or those containing solid particles.
