Is ZG 1/2\" the same as G1/2\"?

ZG is a tapered pipe thread; G* thread is not the same thing.

ZG is commonly known as pipe thread, meaning that the thread is formed by a conical surface; most ordinary pipe fittings use this type of thread. According to national standards, Rc G refers to a non-threaded sealing pipe thread with a 55-degree angle, and it belongs to the Whitworth thread family. The designation G denotes a cylindrical thread. **For standards, refer to GB/T7307-2001. Pipe threads are primarily used for connecting pipes, with tight fit between their internal and external threads; there are both straight-thread and tapered-thread types. The nominal diameter refers to the diameter of the pipe being connected; obviously, the thread diameter is larger than the nominal diameter.
The marking for tapered pipe threads as specified in GB3706 should be R, while the marking for circular pipe threads as specified in GB3707 is G
