I have two questions: First, how much is PAM per ton used before sludge filtration? What is the dosage? (Calculated per ton of sludge processed) II. Sludge drying – What is the required moisture content after drying? What is the energy consumption between them? Simply put, what is the cost associated with the process of taking sludge out of the biochemical system, pressing and filtering it until it becomes dry? (Calculated per ton of sludge treated)
Question 1: PAM is divided into anionic and non-ionic types; the anionic type is further split into anionic and cationic types. It is also available in domestic and imported versions, with prices ranging from over 10,000 to 30,000. The dosage is three thousandths of the amount of dry mud. Question 2: There seems to be no **standard** for the moisture content at which drying should be completed; it is determined based on actual circumstances. For mechanical drying, the moisture content is usually between 10% and 40% ; Natural drying achieves about 50–60%. The cost of drying is very high; it’s said to be around 300 dollars per ton, not including depreciation.

When biochemical sludge is subjected to mechanical filtration, the moisture content after filtration can be reduced to around 50%; it becomes difficult to lower it further, and the cost is relatively low. In the case of sludge drying, the moisture content can be set according to specific requirements. The power consumption is high; when biochemical sludge with a moisture content of 70–80% is dried thermally to around 50% moisture content, approximately 170 kW of electricity is required per ton of sludge
We specialize in sludge treatment technologies; I’m half an engineer. Previously, I built a facility together with another colleague, and next year I’ll be the one to build the new plant from start to finish. The market price of PAM is too high – those with a molecular weight of 16 million cost around 10,000 yuan per ton, and we never use it
