They involved me in the quality management of a power distribution renovation project, and even praised me for being very knowledgeable in project management. I have worked on projects before, but it was always related to the installation of equipment and pipelines. In my previous roles I was part of the contractor team or a sub-contractor; although I was responsible for many aspects, quality control wasn’t a priority for me – I paid more attention to schedule and budget. Everyone, please offer some suggestions: how can the client in the electrical field ensure proper quality control and maintain high standards? I’m no expert in electricity. The cables entering the panels and cabinets are arranged neatly without crossing, secured firmly, and the terminal boards are not subjected to external forces. 5.3 Project Quality Management 5.3.1 Technical personnel must be proficient in construction standards and specifications, implement appropriate technical measures for construction, and provide technical instructions to the work teams. 5.3.2 Technical personnel and quality inspectors shall promptly prepare various technical forms that reflect the construction quality, as well as quality assessment forms for individual items and sections, to ensure that technical and quality documentation keeps pace with the project progress. 5.3.3 When the project reaches a stage that requires inspection and approval by the representative of Party A, the representative should be invited to the site for inspection immediately; construction of the next stage can proceed only after approval is given. 5.3.4 It is necessary to carry out thorough training and assessment for electrical construction workers; they must pass the examinations before they can start working. 5.3.5 Resolutely implement the three-stage management system of \"supervising the previous stage, performing one’s own task well, and serving the next stage,\" strictly follow the procedures for handing over tasks, and carefully fill in all relevant original construction records. 5.4 Quality Assurance Measures 5.4.1 Construction teams and groups should carry out self-inspection and mutual inspection activities as usual. 5.4.2 Full-time quality inspectors shall conduct regular inspections of the project quality, identify quality issues in a timely manner, and take effective corrective actions. 5.4.3 Actively cooperate with the quality inspection department of the project’s constructor to conduct joint inspections on the key processes of the project. 5.4.4 Actively carry out suggestions initiatives to encourage the construction workers to contribute ideas for the development of this project. 5.4.5 Implement strict quality control over construction projects with high difficulty levels to ensure excellent project quality.
You can hire a supervisor or external technical personnel to manage the construction quality and keep records and reports for future reference.

I can have the supervisor and the construction party bring in the plan for comparison. The focus should be on checking whether the supervision work is adequate and how well the system is functioning; for important tasks, direct inspections of the construction units and the site should be carried out. Such as: civil engineering positioning, trench inspection ; Inspection upon arrival and installation of major equipment – transformers, distribution cabinets, concealed works, various tests, etc.

The project has now been officially launched, and the construction contractor and supervisor have submitted information regarding their quality management systems, personnel, and contact details. For quality control methods, the key control points should be clearly documented and submitted. Quality is mainly controlled and ensured by the construction unit. The supervision unit should carry out proper management and ensure strict control. We exercise overall control, conduct focused inspections, and carry out random checks at any time. When problems arise, we follow the company’s regulations regarding engineering quality management by issuing quality improvement notices. Let’s all work together to ensure good project quality so that we don’t have to issue such notices. As Party A, the main task is to oversee everything and provide overall coordination. The specific details can be handled by the supervisor and the construction party. However, the owner must conduct random inspections at any time to oversee and monitor the work of the contractors and supervisors. As for the on-site construction rectification orders, they should be issued by the supervisor, after all that’s what the supervisor is supposed to do. If the owner identifies any areas that need to be revised, they can pass these instructions on to the supervisor for implementation, which also facilitates unified management of the correction orders. After starting work each day, I go to the site frequently to keep an eye on the progress of construction and the quality of work done. I can also provide some technical support at the site to help coordinate and resolve various issues. Before leaving work, hold a meeting with the supervisors and construction technicians to assess the overall progress of the construction and identify which personnel, materials, and equipment have not yet arrived.

I’m just one of the members of the quality department; I don’t need to deal with those things. If it were all up to me, I’m actually quite good at handling general matters; there’s no problem with that.
