It cannot be defined as a GC3 pipeline. But 20801 is also suitable for circulating water pipelines. Since GC3 is part of the classification system for pressure pipelines, and according to the definition of pressure pipelines, circulating water pipes do not fall under the category of pressure pipelines, let alone be subject to any classification for such pipelines. Specifically, one can study 20801 carefully.

GB/T20801.1-2006, General Provisions, Section 1.3: “Pressure pipelines refer to pipelines in which the maximum working pressure is greater than or equal to 0.1 MPa for gaseous, liquefied gas, or steam media, or for liquid media that are flammable, toxic, or corrosive and whose maximum working temperature is greater than or equal to their standard boiling point; such pipelines also have a nominal diameter of more than 25 mm.” Pressure pipelines for liquids with a nominal diameter of 25 mm or less, a maximum operating pressure of less than 0.1 MPa or in a vacuum state, and that are non-flammable, non-toxic, and non-corrosive may also follow these specifications; however, they are not subject to safety supervision and are not included in the pipeline classification system. ” According to the above definition, a circulating water medium pipeline (with a working pressure of 0.4 MPa, a working temperature of 40°C, and a nominal diameter of 50 mm) in which the medium is water at a temperature below its boiling point does not qualify as a pressure pipeline, and therefore cannot be classified as a GC3-grade pressure pipeline. However, the design and construction of such circulating water pipelines can be carried out in accordance with these specifications.
