Problem with the rotation direction of the gas cylinder valve

How is the thread direction of gas cylinder valves determined? Why do some people say that as long as it’s a small steel cylinder of 40L or less, regardless of the gas used, it’s dextrorotatory? Right? Confused! ! ! ! !
This post was last edited by wangs521 on 2010-8-6 at 15:47. I’m not sure about other gas cylinders, but for the nitrogen cylinders used in laboratory experiments, they are turned clockwise to open and counterclockwise to close. It’s different from other valves.
The thread direction of the interface is not necessarily consistent. If the plug has a notch, then it’s different from those used normally – it opens in a clockwise direction while the tube opens in a counter-clockwise direction. For example, the interface is a CGA350 hydrogen gas cylinder
