What are the main differences between current gas chromatographs at home and abroad? The price at home is half that of abroad; the difference is too large.
Analyze quality and service life. Domestically produced gas chromatography analyzers have poor stability, and the parallelism of their spectra is not as good as that of imported ones. I think the main difference lies in the columns. Of course, the one I used was a domestic model, I think it was produced in 2003. It’s not clear what the quality is like at the moment
Domestic gas chromatographs require manual adjustment of the gas flow rate, whereas imported models are more automated – parameters can be set on a workstation. As mentioned above, they are also more stable, offer better reproducibility, and have a longer lifespan for the chromatography columns.
In terms of the overall framework, there is no difference between the two; In terms of details, the two are very different; every aspect differs by a little bit. The craftsmanship is poor, the materials are of low quality, and the design is inadequate and flawed, which results in an overall lack of quality. In short, one can only look from a distance; it’s impossible to examine closely. Only the users know best whether it’s good or not. But there are also advantages – it’s cheap! No matter how expensive domestic chromatography equipment is, it’s still not as costly as imported versions; the money saved can generally be used for improving the details.
Our school uses instruments from Shimadzu in Japan; currently we’re using those made by Shanghai Kechuang. The performance is acceptable, but the automation level of the chromatography columns isn’t very high. Perhaps I’m using the older GB-08088 model
What other levels of automation are available for chromatography columns? And finally, is it the instrument number? Still *labeling? We really haven’t seen any instruments from the GB series yet; I’m quite curious!
This post was last edited by zbx on 2010-8-11 02:28. This is the configuration standard for old-fashioned domestic chromatographs from the North; later models were basically of modular design. Also, an integrator can measure the peak height, while a recorder cannot. It’s not that I’m picking faults; I just find it a bit strange. Although I’ve seen many chromatograms, there are still many varieties that I haven’t encountered before; it’s quite interesting!
The difference is huge. I recently replaced my old instrument with a fully imported one, an Agilent 6890 – it’s absolutely great to use. The domestic models simply can’t compare to it; it’s very stable, convenient, and user-friendly
