Oxygen purity can be ensured by the air separation unit, and the oxygen flow rate can also be controlled through an automatic control system. Just now, the furnace temperature dropped straight from 1320 degrees to 1250 degrees. It took about an hour. At the same time, methane increased from 300 to 1700. At the same time, CO2 decreased from 16 to 15. About 160 cubic meters of oxygen were added, and the speed of the high-pressure slurry pump was reduced by 8 units. After the conversion, it’s equivalent to adding 260 cubic meters of oxygen per burner. A total of 1,100 cubic meters. The furnace temperature rose back to around 1300. The coal slurry concentration analyzed remained essentially unchanged. At the same time, we added 0.3 cubic meters of our additive. The viscosity of the coal slurry is around 600. Some are even lower. The oxygen concentration on the air separation side has not changed. By monitoring the furnace temperature (with 3 high-temperature thermocouples indicating a downward trend, which suggests a decline in temperature), and while keeping the speed setting for our plant’s high-pressure coal slurry pump constant, we observed changes in the actual speed of that pump. The management instructed that any such change should be corrected immediately, and so the settings were adjusted during today’s shift. After this phenomenon occurred, the rotational speed at the site was basically the same for both pumps, with a difference of only 3 units in rotational speed.
It seems that there has been a change in the quality of the coal; in particular, the fixed carbon content may have increased, which leads to a decrease in the oxygen-to-carbon atom ratio when no other adjustments are made, and as a result, the furnace temperature drops. Should the OP’s household still use coal mixed with other fuels for heating?
Since there are changes in CH4, there must be changes in the coal quality; more analysis of the coal quality is needed to understand what’s happening.
In fact, due to the complexity and diversity of coal structure, slight fluctuations are normal.
