I would like to ask: when starting the air compressor to supply air to the air-cooled tower, at what time is it appropriate to open the compressor’s outlet valve? Is it when the air compressor is first started, or when a certain pressure is reached (such as 0.4 MPa), or at some other time?
At startup, set it to around 20%; as the speed increases, the pressure rises gradually, allowing for slow pressure buildup without the unit being prone to surge
What kind of equipment do you have? There are no valves between our air compressor and the air cooling tower; once air starts flowing, it enters directly and goes all the way to the molecular sieve

There is no need to install this valve. It will increase system resistance. The latest processes generally eliminate this valve. So... this valve is extremely large and heavy; leaving it fully open is sufficient in normal circumstances.

I think it’s better to start it up first and then open the outlet; this way, the air from the compressor can be blown out first, preventing dirt in the air flow channels or water leakage from the cooler from entering the adsorber and affecting the adsorption capacity of the molecular sieve///
There is an outlet valve and an outlet bypass for the air compressor; when the pressure of the air compressor reaches around 0.5 MPa, the bypass valve is opened to equalize the pressure in the air cooling tower. Once the pressure is balanced, the outlet valve is opened to supply air; Without an air compressor outlet valve, air can only be introduced directly during startup; just make sure no water is introduced into the air cooling tower first.
The important principle is that after the air-cooling tower is pressurized, the water pump should be started; as for when to carry out pressurization, one can refer to their own process and operational procedures.
Oh, and there’s also that process mentioned by the technician on the 3rd floor; I’ve learned it*. We are learning the operation method: first, we adjust the pressure to the required level using the vent valve, then we open the valve of the air-cooling tower; while opening that valve, we close the vent valve to maintain a constant discharge pressure from the air compressor. I think what was said on the 6th floor makes a lot of sense; there’s really no need to install this valve.
What was the pressure of the air compressor right after it started up but before the pressure increased? Around 200 KPA, right? The air-cooling tower is empty; there’s no trash around, right? And it can also withstand the impact of this pressure, so there’s no need at all for this valve! It’s better to do less rather than more; adding this valve only makes things more complicated
I think a valve should still be installed at the outlet of the air compressor; it’s best to have a bypass as well. This way, when the pressure at the compressor’s outlet reaches the designed level, air can be directed to the air-cooling tower through the bypass, ensuring a stable and reliable operation.
