What should beginners in chemical engineering design do?

Hello everyone. I just graduated this year and work in chemical engineering design, focusing mainly on the design aspect. Besides reading books on standards and similar materials, what else would be good for me to do? I don’t even know how to start working on a chemical engineering design for a project... Thank you!
1. Learn from experienced colleagues in the field, 2. Visit production facilities to understand their actual conditions, 3. Keep track of market prices for various materials, 4. Study the pricing standards for construction and installation work.
First, go through the standards, mainly HG20519\20557\20558, etc. Then you should read more flowcharts, and it would be best to also consult the chemical process design manual!

Go to the site more often; on-site experience is really important
Take the PID to the site, look at it while also observing the actual thing, and gradually you will understand it. This way, it’s easy to learn quickly and it’s also easier to understand
