Whether to add a cross-line between the reboiler at the bottom of the gas fractionation unit and the product extraction port is determined primarily by the need to ensure that there is liquid in the reboiler under all circumstances; therefore, a cross-line is added. I ask the experts to consider adding cross-lines.
No additional cross-pipes are required for the inlet pipe of the bottom reboiler and the pump inlet pipe, as the reboiler is installed at the lowest point and is always filled with liquid.
Under normal circumstances, cross-wiring is not required; if it is used, it is only for starting work or removing materials. If used improperly, it can instead cause fluctuations and failures; therefore, the cross-cable should be turned off under normal conditions. As for the relationship between the reboiler and the tower, if you take a close look at the tower’s drawings, you will see that all the oil that reaches the bottom of the tower passes through the reboiler. The oil only flows to the bottom of the tower after the reboiler is full; in other words, the oil cannot reach the bottom of the tower until the reboiler is full. (Note: This is the usual design)
I don’t think cross-connections should be allowed, as the reboiler contains a portion of vapor phase, and connecting it to a pump can easily lead to pump cavitation

I don’t think a side quest is necessary; it seems useless. Our factory’s product line is connected to the pipe section that leads to the reboiler. During startup and shutdown, materials are generally not withdrawn. If it is indeed necessary to withdraw materials for maintenance, one can first pump out the liquid at the bottom of the tower, then open the lower valve and introduce steam to raise the temperature at the bottom of the tower sufficiently, thereby evaporating the liquefied gas.
