Whether the sulfur condenser is leaking is usually judged by the change in the condenser outlet temperature. In the event of leakage, the outlet temperature generally decreases. Furthermore, steam can be carried through the sulfur seal, which may cause sulfur spray.
The method to judge the leakage of sulfur cooler is mainly based on the following three items:: 1. When other conditions remain unchanged, the temperature of the process gas at the outlet of the sulfur condenser drops. 2. Because some boiler water leaks into the process gas and vaporizes, generating steam, the system may be overpressured. 3. The consumption of boiler water is larger than usual. Whether to stop or not depends on the amount of leakage. If the amount of leakage is small, production can be maintained. ; If the amount of leakage is large and production cannot be maintained, the plant will have to be shut down for processing.
After leakage, the main manifestation is an increase in system pressure, followed by a decrease in process device outlet temperature. If the leakage is large, the work must be stopped for treatment. If the leakage is small, it is also recommended to stop the work for repairs, otherwise the leakage will become larger and larger. The main hazards are reduced sulfur recovery rate, high system pressure drop, and difficulty in maintaining production.

I think if the leakage is small, the system pressure must be high and there will be no problem. But if it is inspected, it must be inspected. If it is not inspected, as long as the leakage flow does not continue to increase. It can be maintained barely, but I think online repair is unlikely. I wonder if you think this is right?
Determining condenser leakage is mainly based on the outlet temperature. Once leakage occurs, it must be stopped for repairs, otherwise the sour gas equipment will be severely damaged. When the leakage is serious, the sulfur seal will also become clogged due to low temperature.
If the sulfur cooler is leaking, stop work for repairs as soon as possible. Otherwise, the corrosion will intensify and the tube plate of the sulfur cooler cannot be repaired. Even if it is welded, the operation time will not be too long. It depends on the situation. It can be as short as about 20 days and as long as about 4 months.
