When the high-pressure slurry pump loses power, the following phenomena occur: the motor stops for 1–2 seconds after a power loss and then starts up automatically. The pump’s speed and current levels decrease. Due to the damping time, the slurry flow meter cannot immediately reach its cutoff value, especially under high load conditions. If the vehicle is not jumped out at this point, is it necessary to stop it manually? Stopping it for 1–2 seconds should not have much impact on the system. After a power fluctuation in the high-pressure coal slurry pump, the system shuts down; the pump may start up automatically. In such a situation, is it necessary for the control room to promptly inform the site staff to manually stop the pump? I would like to ask the more experienced colleagues: has such a phenomenon occurred in your factories? How did you handle it? Have any other issues arisen in your factories? If the coal slurry pump shutdown signal is not sent to the gasifier shutdown system (that is, the coal slurry pump trip signal is not interlocked – which seems unlikely). Since the system did not shut down, it is believed that it is impossible for a person to make a decision in such a short time. Since the pump started operating automatically later and the vaporizer was able to function, it continued to operate. (Peroxides, implosions – what’s meant to happen will happen; you can’t control it.) In the second case, it is even less likely to happen (not to mention that after the slurry pump stops, a signal is sent to the gasifier shutdown system); rather, after the gasifier shuts down, a signal is sent to shut down the slurry pump. There’s no need for you to stop the pump at all. If the situation described by the poster occurs, it indicates that the interlocking system is not properly functioning or there are issues with its management. :lol
As mentioned on the 3rd floor, under normal circumstances, high-pressure slurry pumps are equipped with interlocks; I have never seen one without them, as otherwise the consequences would be unacceptable to us

The second phenomenon is that, according to what others say, it is necessary to check promptly after a power fluctuation in the system to see whether the high-pressure coal slurry pump has stopped operating as a result of the interlock mechanism.

High-pressure coal slurry pumps have interlock signals; therefore, the most reliable solution is to install anti-intermittent power supply devices. Many coal slurry processing systems in China have already implemented such modifications.
Are high-power operating devices suitable?
At present, the voltage levels we handle are 380V and 690V AC; there are also technologies for higher voltage levels, but the investment required is too high. The highest power of a single pump that has been used is 430 kW/AC 380V.
