Chemical plants are hazardous enterprises; if employees don’t get enough rest, mistakes are likely to occur. Yet many managers refuse to stop until someone dies. What’s the situation like in your workplace?
Night shift employees already have scheduled rest time; of course, they cannot take a break during working hours. The chemical industry involves continuous production, and materials are flammable and explosive; therefore, intermediate breaks due to potential operational errors are not allowed. This reflects the employees’ sense of responsibility and safety awareness.

I want to rest too, but the control station in front of me is watching me. How painful is that?
