The complete pipe segment list should cover the entire plant. The current approach is to use PDS to assist in material extraction, which is accurate and efficient.

The pipe length is in extended meters, that is, the length shown on the pipe segment diagram multiplied by (1 + allowance factor).

I’m not sure whether the pipeline diagram mentioned by the poster is in electronic form or as printed construction drawings. If it’s construction blueprints, then those drawings have scales, and the length can be determined by using that corresponding scale; just account for a small amount of waste in the calculation. This traditional method is still widely used for budgeting in construction projects these days.
