What is the significance and role of conducting environmental impact assessments?

After going through the environmental impact assessment procedures for several new projects, I found that carrying out such assessments involves piecing things together; some of the data is not accurate, and it costs quite a lot of money. I don’t see what the purpose or value of this is
It’s disheartening; the intentions were good, but it wasn’t carried out properly!
It’s a matter of execution! ! ! ! ! ! ! The intention is good, but the problem lies in inadequate implementation! ! !

Can you pass the project completion inspection without conducting an environmental impact assessment? If it fails the inspection, you’ll be labeled as engaging in illegal production!
Environmental impact assessment involves analyzing, from a professional perspective, the sources of waste, noise, as well as their degree of harm and impact. EIA does have some value, but the effort invested is not proportionate to what is reported. A report required countless tears of effort, but in reality it was treated merely as a formality, meant to obtain another approval document.
