To monitor the temperature of the compressor bearings, there are multiple temperature sensing points available. When setting up interlocks, should an average value be used? If so, will the failure of one of these temperature sensing points affect the temperature readings and the interlocks?
It’s not about taking an average value; the setting is done by selecting a certain number of options, such as 3 out of 2. In other words, 3 temperature measurement points are set, and an interlock signal is sent only when any two of these points exceed their designated temperature limits (as specified in the program settings)
Compressor bearing temperature: The location of each temperature sensing point is different, and they represent the temperatures of respective bearing segments; it is not possible to take an average value, nor can several of these values be selected!
