PI&D diagram is the abbreviation of which words? Is the installation done exactly as per the PI&D diagram? For example, for a tank, the PI&D diagram indicates that the inlet and outlet lines are on the side, but in the actual installation diagram, will the inlet and outlet be connected at the top and bottom of the tank respectively?
D should be design, I don’t know about the other two.

It is just a representation of the flow direction of the medium. It has nothing to do with the direction of the pipeline. If you want to know the pipeline connection part, you should refer to the pipeline construction single-line diagram, or the equipment manufacturing drawing, or check it on site.

It only briefly represents the process of the entire system, pipeline specifications and instrument forms (parameters that need to be measured).
