By ‘owner’, do you mean the auxiliary oil pump? Keeping it running all the time is unnecessary, right? Doesn’t that increase energy consumption? I* will keep it in standby mode, with it being activated for 30 minutes per shift.
There’s no need to keep it on all the time. Generally, before starting the turbine, the oil temperature is adjusted; after starting the auxiliary oil pump for a few minutes, the turbine is rotated to lubricate its moving parts. Just restart the turbine.
It is recommended to keep it on continuously; in complex operating conditions, the cost of energy consumption is not very high compared to the cost of the main equipment. However, if the main equipment gets damaged, it poses a significant burden on maintenance personnel.
